. I . Christchitrch, Friday. The Arbitration . Court to-day gave judgment for the Railway Department , in the claim'for compensation at the rate of £1 3s 6d a week, made by Peter Potonari, who alleged that by an accident in the harbour at Lyttelton, when landing sewerage steel pipes, in October, 1908, the slings had slip-, ped, and serious-hernia Waa caused to claimant. Costs were, not.asked for.
