COAL AT GISBORNE.

[ax TIiLEGUArn. — CORRESPONDENT.] Gisborne, Friday. Regarding the discovery of coal by a prospector in this district, announced the other day, it is understood that there is a likelihood of the find proving a successful one. Some 12 years ago the same gentleman located coal about tho same place, but not being in a sufficiently strong financial position he was unable to bring it to any definite stage of development. Now he is being supported and is confident that there will be a plentiful output once he can get below the surface.
