A vert good tone prevailed upo» the sharemarket yesterday. In investment lines South British Insurance sold at 48s 9d and 49i?, with late sellers at 50s, and buyers at 48s. Northern Coals were done at 19s 9d; Gisborne Gas at 53s 6d, Devonport Steam Forrys at 29s 6d, and Burfoot Wheels at 38a. In miscellaneous lines D.S.C.'s sold at 3s lid, and New Zealand Paper Mills at 22s 3d. In mining lines Talismans again changed hands at 525, late sellers closing at that price and buyers at 9d less. Waihis were' done at £9 3s, with sellers quoting that price, and buyers £9 2s 6d.
