The men arrested gave their names as Norman Christopher arid William Manning. They were , charged in the Magistrate's Court yesterday, before Mr. W. 6. Riddell, S.M., with stealing \ 20ft of ' insulated '* copper cable, valued at '18s, belonging ~to the city corporation. Both pleaded not guilty, but had nothing' to', say for' themselves. They had never ; before been convicted ' for dishonesty, and His Worship fined each of them 20s, or in default seven days' imprisonment. \
