The Foresters' social took place in the Miners' Union Hall last night, and de- " spite the inclemency of the weather there was a large attendance.* Dancing was kept up until an early hour this morning, Messrs. -Henderson and Jones acting as v M.C.'s. - The euchre tournament was won by Mr. H. Turner.
TE AROHA. V [RROM OTTR OWN COBBESPONDENT.] Ts Aboha, Saturday. The tennis club brought the season to a {lose on Wednesday night with a success- ' ful progressive euchre party and dance in the ■ Domain tea kiosk. The St. Mark's Church Guild also held a euchre party at the Public Hall-the same evening, which v as, largely L attended. _ i HAMILTON. [KP.OM OTJB OWN' COBRESI'ON'DKNT.] Hamilton, Saturday. The annual - meeting of the* provincial -conference of the Baptist Church , : will be held here son-Monday- It is expected that about' 40 delegates will be present. The annual ball, on Thursday evening, i in connection with the Hamilton library, i was not so well attended as in previous years, but a most enjoyable evening was .Spent. .
