The Ven. Archdeacon Williams, of Hawke's Bay. is at present staying at the Grand Hotel.
Mr. R. R. Martin, organiser for the Opposition, arrived by the express from Wellington yesterday.
Dr. and Mrs. Holmes, 'of Wellington, who have been staying in Auckland during the past few days, leave by the express to-day for Rotorua.
Mr. T. Harle Giles, Conciliation Commissioner, leaves for New Plymouth shortly ill order to preside over the Council of Conciliation in the local slaughterers' dispute.
Consequent on the promotion of Mr. Harrington to Nelson, Mr. C. B. Hawk, officer in charge of telegraphs at Auckland, will be transferred to Wellington (says a Dunedin Press Association message).
Mr. N. D. Cochrane, mining engineer, of Dunedin, has accepted the position of mining adviser to the Government of Fiji (says a Press Association message). He expects to be absent from the Dominion about 12 months.
