Collins bad the | misfortune to meet with a, painful aoei- 1 dent. - The car, in negotiating the corner jj turning from the bridge into Read's Quay, in the direction of Messrs. Red- < stones, and Sons' stables, skidded, owing \ to the greasy nature of the road, th« 1 wheels on the off side colliding wills th« -' wooden kerbing The spokes were smashed and the force of the impact caused th« occupant to the thrown heavily against I the steering wheel, and then pitched backwards into the back of the car, where he ! lay, suffering much pain, for about 20 j minutes. Dr. Collins has now practically recovered from his severe shaking. .
