The Union Company's steamer Waikare is expected to reach Auckland about 3.30 a.m. to-day from Southern and East ■ Coast ports. ; •■' THE CLAN OGILVY. The steamer Clan Ogilvy, Captain J. W. Taylor, arrived from Edithburg, via .ports, at 2 p.m. Testwday ' and berthed at Queen-street Wharf. The ! steamer left.Edithbuig on April 4 and called at KaiiMa.for bunker cos,] on the Bth. She then proceeded to Timaru, arriving there on April 14 after 'a : moderate weather passage. The vessel discharged part of her cargo of salt from Edithburg at Timaru, and left that port for Auckland on ; April 16, calling at Lvtlelton, Wellington, and '■' Pieton en route. Moderate-to. fine weather was experienced on the New Zealand coast. The Clan .Ogilvy will shift her berth to-day, changing from "'Queen-street Wharf to the Railway Wharf, where she. takes in a quantity of general cargo for London.', - The vessel leaves for Port Pirie on Saturday to complete her loading for the Home ■' pott. ■!■•-.■ i A LONG VOYAGE. Messrs. Andrew. Weir and Co., shipowners, of Glasgow. * the " owners of the four-masted ship Springbank, have received advices from Captain Royal, reporting the vessel's arrival at Santa Rosalja, .after an eventful and protracted voyage of orer 220 days, which is one of the longest passages on- record for this particular route. Three 'deaths occurred on board. The victims were Mrs. Royal (wife of Captain D. Royal, the • master of the* Springbank), Steward Lurid (who resided at Leith), and Able Seaman Leslie. The Spring Kink signed on her crew'at Leith before proceeding across the North Sea to Hamburg to load" for Santa Rosalia.
