AN OLD MAN DROWNED.
[by telegraph.—PßESS association.] Ashburton, Monday. At the inquest on the body of the man found in the Ashburton River bed on Sunday, the Coroner returned an open verdict. The evidence showed that deceased was fully 70 years of age.
