New Plymouth, Saturday. An encouraging report has been received from the manager of the Hadley Petroleum Company's bore on Carrington Road, now 1687 ft, and excellent showings of oil have occurred in the last few days. The He states that the depth of the bore is formation now being passed through is sandstone, and he considers the well more favourable at its depth than any he has seen hero.
