The Earthquake Relief Committee reports that a sum of 18£ million lire (about £733,000) has been collected for the relief of the sufferers by the earthquake. . % ' • , Correspondence ' received here shows that some remote' villages of Calabria were overlooked or forgotten during the relief works until a fortnight, ago. Many of the inhabitants were shelterless and starving.
