• London, March 2. England and America have put in challenges for the Davis Cup.
THE PRELIMINARY TIE.
Sydney, March 3.
The Australian Lawn Tennis Association has,decided that the preliminary tie in the Davis Cup competitions must be played at such a date as to allow the challenge round to be contested in Sydney between November 10 and December 10.
