COLLIERY EMPLOYEES.

AUSTRALIA AND NEWZEALAND

PROPOSED CO-ORDINATE ACTION.

By Telegraph.—rrcss Association.—Copyright. (Received February 8. a.m.) Sydney, February 7, Mr. Hickkt, the New Zealand coal miners' delegate, attended a special meeting of the Committee of Management of the Northern Colliery Employees' Federation at Newcastle, and explained that his mission in Australia was to place the position of the coal miners of the Dominion before the mining communities here. He hoped a plan would be formulated to bring the Newcastle and New Zealand coal miners' organisations closer together.

The meeting decided that the executive officers of the federation should confer on the matter with Mr. Hiekcy during the coming week, with a view to devising a scheme for co-ordinate action.
