MINING DISASTER.
RESCUE PARTY MISSING.

New York, January 26. An explosion in the Boswell coalmine, Somerset County, Pennsylvania, killed three miners.
A rescue party of 50 men went down the mine, and while they were there a fall of earth blocked the galleries behind them, the .whole 50 being entombed.
A large party of miners are now at work removing the obstruction.
(Received January 27. 11.15 p.m.) New York, January 27. The entombed rescuers in the Boswell colliery number 22, not 50, as previously stated. It is believed all have perished.
Subsequent rescue parties were unable to penetrate the mine, owing to afterdamp.
