THE ADDINGTON INQUIRY

Wellington, Tuesday. Ix an interview to-day, the Minister for Railways (Hon. J. A. Millar) said that the inquiry into the methods of work at the Addington workshops would be open to the press and also to the public if they wished to attend. It would not l>e conducted by a stipendiary magistrate, but, would be simply a Departmental inquiry held in public.

Asked whether the ;cope of the inquiry, which will be opened shortly, would extend beyond affairs at Addington, the Minister said thai, that would depend on what came out during the investigation.
