Kettle, S.M., Margaret J ickerell was brought up a second time on ernand charged with being idle and disorlerly and an undesirable character. LOSS OF MEMORY. Joseph Pinto, a Belgian, aged 54- years, nado his reappearance at the Court on a ;harge of being a prohibited immigrant. Since he was first proceeded against three or our months ago Pinto's health lias necossiated hospital treatment, and he has been emanded from time to time. His condition s still v?ry low, but he was ablo to repeat n tn intelligent manner the story of his supDosed loss of memory between an occasion ,vhtn he drove with his brother-in-law to ,h© waterside at San Francisco, and on iwakening to his whereabouts on board the toamer Tofua, bound from Fiji to Auckand. Mr. Kettle ordered a further remand till ;his morning. Before Messrs. D. B. Wallaco and J. D. Walters, justices of the peace, W. Perry was charged with the theft of a rug, valued at .4s, from a resident of Ngaruawahia, on December 24, and on tho application of Stationiorgeant Hondry was remanded to appear it Ngaruawahia to-day.
