Trout are very plentiful in the Waikato River at Atiamuri this season. Last week Messrs. Burns, McCormick, and Hoiton landed fish aggregating 176j1b. The fish were in good condition, and the heaviest turned the scale at 6£lb. Both fly and minnow were used. A lady, angling in Lake Rotoiti on Christmas Day, landed a trout which weighed B|lb.
