UNDER WHICH COURT?

[Br TELEGRAPH.— ASSOCIATION.]

Chbistlhikch, Friday. An interesting point was mentioned in. the Arbitration Court this morning by Mr. D'Arcy, who is acting on behalf of the Engine-drivers' Union in their dispute with the employers. Mr. D'Arcy stated that the dispute was ready for filing, but the union desired to know what procedure would be followed in the event of its being filed before January 1, on which date the new Act would come into force.

His Honor (Mr. Justice Sim) said that the dispute, if filed before January 1, would be referred to the Conciliation Board, but if filed after December 31 it would be referred to the Council of Conciliation.
