LAND AND LIQUOR.

London, November 25. Discussing the financial situation and the suggestion that it will be necessary' to amend the fiscal system to meet the increasing demands un the Treasury, the Daily Chronicle advocates a tax ot a penny in the £ on land values, yielding £22,500,000.
The Daily News declares it possible to raise seven millions yearly by increasing the liquor taxation to the American level.
