GOLF.
The boys' match in connection with the Auckland Golf Club, which was postponed from last Saturday, will eventuate to-day, the draw being as follows :—Webster plays Kirker, Oarr plays A. Gorrie, Northcrott piays B. Frater. The winner will receive a trophy, presented by Mr. J. 11. Upton. The final for the Auckland Golf Clubs championship will bo played after Oolbeek's return from the Napier tournament. ( The members of the Auckland Ladies Golf Club played the monthly medal competition on Monday for the last time this season Miss J. Richmond returning the best score (87 net). Miss E. Gorrio was second, with 91, and Mrs. O'Rorko next, with 93. „ ~ TT . The final round for the Ladies' Golf Union silver medal was also played. Miss E. Martin proving the winner for this year, with the four best net scores (89, 86. 91, 86, total 352). Miss 0. Gorrie was second, with 91, 95 90, 92 —368: and Miss M. Cotter third, With 100, 93, 86, 97—381. .' The prize presenter! by Mrs. 11. S._ Gorrio to the first player this season reducing her handicap low enough to be on tho Ladies' Golf Club Union list was won by Miss J. Richmond. On Monday there will be an 18 holes bogey competition, for a prize presented byMiss' K. Martin. The semi-final of the medal competition, under the auspices of the Wflitemat-n Club, was played on Saturday, when Ncttleton beat Wilson by 6 up and 5 to play. Smylbo won bv default from W. W. Philson. To-day will be nlayed the match for the ferry cue, which the' winner is to hold for a year. In addition to holding the cup, the successful competitor will receive a trophy from the club. This cup has been presented by Mr. Alee Alison, and to-day's match will be the first occasion on which it has been competed for. The conditions aro IS holes, bogey piny. Tost entries will be taken, and players may arrange their own games. The ladies, of the Waitemwa Club will hold mi approaching and putting competition, for a nrize presented by Miss M. Alison, next Wednesday. In the hogev handicap match on Wednesday for the silver button. Miss M. Alison proved the winner. Miss I. Duder won the silver buttou in the stroke competition. NAPIER TOU RNAMENT. [11Y TEI.EGKAVH.—PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Natikr, Friday. The Napier Golf Club's championship meeting was continued to-day in beautiful weather. . . . . Playing in the men's championship in the morning Kapi Tareha beat.W. B. Colbeck, Kurupo Tareha beat If. B. Lusk, A. Barraud beat G. F. Thorburn, and E. S. Pearco bent J. S. Cirouitt. In the afternoon Kurupo Tareha beat Kapi Tarehn (* up and 3 to play), and A. Barraud beat E. S. Pearco (7 up and 5 to play). The men's doubles handicap was won by 11. Hamilton and J. A. Hollar, with 11. J. Smith and 0. Nelson second.
