THE WAITEMATA SEAT. Mb. L. R. Phttxipps, the Opposition candidate for the Waiteroata seat, will address the electors at Northcote, on Tuesday evening, and at Takapuma on Wednesday evening. THE MARSDEN CANDIDATES. [BY telegraph.— OWN CORRESPONDENT.] Whangarei, Friday. In reply to a. deputation of the Liberal party in Mareden, asking whether he would retire in favour of Mr. Harrison, in order to avoid splitting the Liberal vote in the elections, Mr. J, D. McKenzie has consented to stand aside on this occasion. THE AVON SEAT. [BY telegraph.— press association.] Christchurch, Friday. Mr. John Jamieson, who is a member of the Education Board and the East Christchurch School Committee, and who has taker a keen interest in matters affecting the Avon electorate, will be a candidate for Avon at the coming election.
