Canon Nelson returned from the South yesterday.
Captain Young arrived from Wellington yesterday by the Takapuna.
The Rev. W. and Mrs. Bromilow went South by the Takapuna yesterday.
Mr. C. Kronfeld was a passenger from the Islands by the Tofua yesterday.
Mr. F. E. Baumo. M.P., accompanied by Mrs. Banme. arrived from Wellington yesterday by the west coast steamer.
The Rev. R. B. S. Hammond, editor of Grit, of the New South Wales Anglican Mission, will arrive in Auckland on Friday, the 25th inst., to take part in the no-license campaign.
Mr. C. A. Thome, a member of the Marist Bros.' Old Boys' Association, was entertained in the clubroonw on Thursday evening, and presented with a marble clock on behalf of tire members by the president (Rev. Pro. George), who referred to the approaching marriage of the recipient, and his past services to the club.
