BOWLING.
GREY LYNN CLUB. Tho annual meeting of the Grey Lynn Bowling Club was held in the club's pavilion, the president (Mr. G. Baildon) presiding. Tho secretary's report and balance-sheet worn read and adopted. The balance-sheet showed the club to bo in a very satisfactory position, there being a substantial credit balance, with no liabilities outside the club members. During tho evening the sum of about £30 was paid in interest to tho debenture-holders. Tho election of officers for the ensuing "car resulted as follows:— Patron, the Hon. G. Fowlds (re-elected); president, (Mr. >'. Weij.ey; vico-presidems, Messrs. W.'Dimery, J. Rich, V. Casey, W. Baildon, sen., 0. Norgrove, J. Ferguson, and J. M. Thomson; secretary, R. Waite; treasurer, F. C. Thompson ; Management Committee, Jas. Ferguson, T. Mills, F. Parsons, W. Mills, J. Volknor, J. Knight; green superintendent, •7. Volkner; Match Committee, G. Baildon, It. Waite, V. Casey; trustees, .Tas. Ferguson, A. Burfoot; auditor, J. M. Thomson; delegates to Auckland Provincial Bowling Association, G. Baildon and V. Casey. During the evening the. members presented Mr. G. Baildon, the retiring president, with a gold seal, and Mr. E. J. Sexton, retiring secretary, and his wife with a silver biscuit barrel, as a token of esteem for the services they have rendered to the club in tho past. The following trophies wero presented to tho winners of . tho different competitions during the past season Club champion-
ship, R. Waite; .first-year championship. W. Baildon, inn.; club pairs, A. Bruce and K. Waite (skip) club fours, R. Courtney, .T. J. Rich, C. A. Brown, and T. Mills (skip); handicap singles, Cris. Brown, lwo extra prizes were presented by Messrs. C. A. Brown and C. Norgrove, the winners being Messrs. G. Baildon and R. Waite. The following motion was carried: —"That the (Ire" Lynn Bowling Club respectfully requests the Auckland Provincial Bowling Association to take into consideration the advisableness of falling into lino with the Australian and South Island Associations, with regard to keeping both feet on the mat." Nine new members were elected, and a number of trophies were promised by different members for competition during tho coming season. The meeting closed with a hearty vote of thanks to tho outgoing committee for the services which they had rendered the club during the past season.
