METHODIST MISSIONS.
A mission-art " At Home," -was held in the Pitt-street-Schoolroom v on Wednesday afternoon, to -welcome the Rev. W.E. and Mrs Bromilow, who for 17* years have laboured in British-New Guinea, and for 10 years previously in- Fiji, as Methodist? missionaries. The Rev. G. Band, chairman of the district, presided, and addresses of welcome were delivered by the Revs J A, Luiford and G. W. Spe'nce; and also by Mrs. H. E. Pacey, president of the ladies missionary auxuiarv. Mr and Mrs. Bromilow, in replying, expressed the pleasure A gave them to visit New Zealand ; for the' first time—a country which had ; given so many missionaries to New Guinea ana other islands of the South Seas. . During the afternoon refreshments were handed around; and; the proceedings were enlivened with musical items rendered bv Mrs Fray and Mr. W. Astley. , , Mr. and Mrs. Bromilow are visiting the I Dominion in the interests of the Methodist' missionary forward movement, and thev will deliver addresses at a I meetings to be held 'at': the Pitt-street: Church at 730 this' evening. . ~
