The anniversary ciilebrotioris in connection' with the Fonsonby Baptist Church were continned ' yesterday .-when a - tea and public meeting were held; ' The Rev. A. North (pastor) presided at the utter ' function/at r j which the annual report m connection with the church work was read.'' It -was, on the whole, of an encouraging nature, and paie a warm tribute to the manner in which the pastor had laboured on behalf of the church. 1* also mentioned thut an effort was to be made shortly to extinguish the small remaining church debt. Mr. North in a short address referred to the manner in which the officer? and ladies of the church had laboured in its interests, and he thank-ed-'them: heartily for their assistance.
