ONEHUNGA COURTS.
Mr. H. W. Northcroft, S.M., presided over the usual fortnightly sitting of the Onehnnga .Magistrate's Court, held at the Courthouse yesterday morning. Sergeant M. Rogers represented the police. Breach of Prohibition Order: William T. Fletcher was arraigned on two breaches of his prohibition order, in that he did enter the Hibernian Hotel, and further, that he did procure liquor during the currency of a prohibition order. Alter hearing the evidence of Constable Smith and the wife of the licensee. His Worship inflicted fines of £2 on each charge, with costs 14s. In default of the £4 14s, 14 days in Mount Eden Gaol. Application for Prohibition Order: An application, was made for a prohibition order in the case of George Payne. After hearing conflicting testimony the Bench decided to adjourn the application until September 7. CIVIL CASES. Mrs. Fleming claimed £5 5s from Mrs. Davison, and secured judgment, with costs 8s; George Fellows claimed £30 18s from J. W. Plotnicki, amount of cheque, issued at Eotorua, plus 18s interest. Plaintiff stated that he had also put in a claim under the Workmen's Lien Act, whereupon the S.M. adjourned the case sine die.
