RECORD CL WINGING.
PUBLIC UNA EC I ATI YE. At Ballarat (Victoria) last week Tom Burrow.-, who holds the world's record of 65 hours 20 minutes for continuous club-swing-ing, began his self-imposed task of improving upon his own record. He started on his long swing in Her Majesty's Theatre at halfpast five o'clock on Monday week. During the day very few spectators watched Burrows, and tin'.-: somewhat, discouraged him. When an almost empty house faced him at night he was advised to, desist, but. lie kept going until five minutes to 11 p.m., when he decided to stop because of the lack of public encouragement. The takings for the day and night amounted to only £3.
