The Union Company's steamer Waitemata, from Wellington to Auckland, passed the East Cape at 10.15 a.m. yesterday and should arrive this morning. THE MOKOIA. The Union Company's steamer Mokoia,'Captain R. E. Smith, arrived from Southern and East Coast ports at 7.45 a.m. yesterday and berthed at Queen-street Wharf. The*steamer left. Dunedr.i on the 12th Inst, and called at the usual way ports, leaving Gluborne for Auckland at 10.15 a.m. on Sunday and arriving: as above. Fine weather was experienced throughout the voyage. The Mokoia resumed her voyage to Sydney last night. THE INGA. The Norwegian steamer Inga, Captain Spinnanger, arrived from Newcastle early yesterday morning with a cargo cf coal, and after inspection steamed up to Chelsea to discharge. The Inga left Newcastle on August 8 and experienced fresh north-easterly winds, with following sea, to arrival as above . THE WHAKATANE. The New Zealand Shipping Company's steamer Whakatane left for London at 4.30 p.m. yesterday with. a cargo consisting of wool, kauri gum, tallow, timber, etc., and also bullion valued at £54,652. • THE HAUROTO. A steamer, supposed to be the liauroto, from Fiji, anchored in the quarantine ground early this morning. THE MOANA. The Union Company's steamer Moana is due at Auckland this morning from Sydney and Lord Howe Island, and leaves for East Coast and Southern ports at noon to-morrow. NEW AUSTRALIAN STEAMER. According to advices received by mail Messrs. Mcllwraith, M'cEachei-n, and Co. have received tenders from builders for the construction of a twin-screw three-decked steamer 420 ft in length, 54ift in breadth, and 30ft in depth for the Australian trade. She will have accommodation for first, second, and third-class passengers and live stock, besides refrigerated cargo, and is to have a speed of about 15 knots. It is believed that she. will cost about £1:50,000.
