London, July 28. At the instance of Sir Edward Grey (Foreign Secretary), a - deputation from the Egyptian National Ast sembly and Legislative Council yesterday submitted matters', they wished to emphasise.

Sir Edward Grey said He was glad to receive for the first time a■_ deputation from .-.■, Egyptian notabilities, and promised Ito earnestly consider all they had said. He added : " Britain has always striven, and would always,strive, to benefit the progress of Egypit."

The deputation was greatly pleased with the reception which they were accorded.
