'' • By Telegraph.—Fires* : Association.— ~. • London, July 6- •, Serious fears are entertained for the safety of Sven Hedin, the famous explorer, who is travelling in Tibet. %. — . Sven Hcdin, Swedish explorer, who ~ is 43 years of age, begun his explorations in : " Persia in 1885, arid-lias travelled through Khorasan and Turkestan," and several i times tthxough Tibet and other, parts of Central Asia. In 1906 he spent three 'and; a-half months going from; Teheran to Seistan,_ and spent the next year in Tibet, where he met the Grand *: Llama. : The Swedish Riksdag - voted £4170 to defray the J cost )of the pubcation of the scientific results of his Central Asian journey in 1899*1902. His books in- s clude Through Asia," Central Asia and Tibet," and "Scientific Results of a Journey _ in Central Asia." r
