DISLOYAL WORKERS
THE ARBITRATION ACT. EMPLOYERS' RESOLUTIONS. [BY TELEGRAPH.—-PRESS ASSOCIATION-] Wellington, Tuesday. At a largely-attended meeting of Wellington employers this evening the following resolutions were passed: — " That, in view of the disloyalty of some sections of the workers to the Arbitration Act, and of their deliberate breaking of awards of the Arbitration Court, this meeting urges the Government to provide legislation that will make the Act effective and binding upon workers as well as employers, or repeal the Act, and cancel all existing awards of the Arbitration Court." "That this meeting deplores the action of the members of' the Operative Bakers' Union in striking after electing to take advantage of the provisions of the Arbitration Act, and in direct defiance of a recent award of the Arbitration Court." " This meeting further expresses its sympathy with, the-master bakers of Wellington, and its approval of the attitude adopted by them, and urges them to maintain, in the interests of the employers of the Do- , minion and of the community, the firm stand taken by them." "That the attention of the Minister for Labour and the Minister. for Justice be drawn to the alleged action of a member of the Conciliation Board and a justice of the peace in connection with the Wellington bakers' strike."
