On Wednesday, the 22nd, at Bo wen.": Queensland, the marriage took place ',of; George Egleton Kent, of Woodlands Station, son of Mr. Kent, Bank of N.S.W., Queensland, arid grandson of : Mr, Sandrock ; (New..' Zealand), arid Jean 5 Florence Travis, eldest daughter of the late H. R. Travis, solicitor, > N.S. until recently matron of the -Bowen Hospital. The ceremony was performed by the/Rev. Father Royllic. Long before the appointed hour the church, which was beau- - tifully decorated by girl friends of the bride, was "thronged with spectators. The , bride, who is one of Queensland's beauties, entered, the church on the arm of Dr. G. L. Murry, who in the absence of her uncle, Dr. MoNeally, gave hor away. She wore a beautiful gown of ivory messaline silk over glace, a coronet of orange blossoms and long lace* veil (borne by her mother). The bride was i attended by four maids of honour. Douglas Murry, a. dear little - chap of seven summers, was trainbearer, and wore a man-o'-war suit and large sailor hat. The Wedding March "was sweetly sung as the bride entered the church, and in honour of'the occasion flags ; at " the hospital and throughout the floated gaily at full-mast. After the ceremony the wedding' party, .which consisted ; only, of a '.; few intimate friends of the bride Rnd bridegroom, drove to the residence of Dr. and Mrs. Mnrry, where afternoon ..tea «as daintily served and the usual .toasts hoi mured. -; ' ' '
