FRANKLIN V. CAMBRIDGE.
The match between the representatives of the Franklin and Cambridge Rugby Unions was played at Pukekohe on Saturday. For the first spell the teams were very evenly matched, neither side holding the advantage, the score at half-time being: Franklin, 6; Cambridge, 5.
In the second spell the Franklin team were attacking all the time, and eventually won by 17 points (1 goal 4 tries) to 5 points (a try converted). The game was open and fast, and the passing rushes of the Franklin backs were greatly appreciated by the spectators.
