Robinson, an Anglican lay reatier, was riding on his verandah when lie was shot dead, falling in his wife's arms. The shot apparently came from a neighbouring liotite. A constable went across to the residence of Pincombe, a miner, and the latter snatched a gun and fired point- blank at the* constable, who had a marvellous es- . cape The constable then shot the man through the head. Pit:combo is supposed to be. insane. He had been heard to express dislike tow aid the local clergy.
