" rrxKE LOCAL BODIES' LOANS ACT. 1901," -*- AND THE AMENDMENTS THEREOF. PEOPOSED LOAN FOR THE EXTENSION OF THE EXISTING WATERWORKS OF THE REMUERA'ROAD DISTRICT. The Remuera Road Board hereby gives notice— 1. That the Remnera Road Board proposes to engage in the following undertaKing. namely, t,ne Extension of the Existing Waterworks of the Remuera Road district, by the laying of New Mains and Connections, and the construction of such additional WaterWorks, Water-races. Reservoirs, Buildings, and Machinery of any and every description which the Remuera, Road Board may think necessary for the purposes of increasing and extending the supply of water to persons and lanas within the limits of the Remuera, Road District, and the purchase of all property (real or personal) and material which the Remuera Road Board may think necessary or requisite for the purposes aforesaid. 2. That the Remuera Road Board, being unable to provide the necessary funds for such work out of the ordinary revenue of the Remuera Road Board District, proposes to borrow the sum of £10,000, at a rate of interest not exceeding £5 per centum per annum. 3. That the proposed Security for the Repayment of such Loan shall lie: (a) The whole of the waterworks, waterraces, reservoirs, buildings, machinery, properly (real or personal) and material of every description already constructed and purchased by the Remuera Road Board, and the revenue to be derived from the same, and the supply of water by means thereof, whether by way of water rate or under any by-law or contract relating to the supply of water or otherwise, subject to the existing charge or security thereover, or over any part thereof, in respect of the existing waterworks loan of £20,030, or the unpaid balance thereof. ; (b) The Special Rate of One Halfpenny in the £ already made and levied on the lands within the Remuera Road District, as a security for the above-men- . tloned £20,000 lean. 4. That the Remuera Road Board proposes to make such Loan of £10,000. repayable in 43 years, and proposes to make provision for the payment of a sinking fund of at least one per centum per annum., 5. That the Remuera Road Board proposes to pay out of the loan such costs, charges, and expenses as the Remuera Road Board may determine to have been actually incurred in connection with such loan.
