A telegram forwarded by the Prime Minister "to all "members of Parliament slates that in connection with the visit of the American fleet it. is intended to ask Parliament to adjourn for a week from Friday. August- 7. to enable members who desire to vhit Auckland. Members would leave Wellington on Friday, August 7. about 1.0 o'clock, anil arrive in Auckland about 10 o'clock on Saturday. It is hoped that it will be possible lot the party to travel by train right, through from Wellington to Auckland. It is intended to leave Auckland again at 10 o'clock oil Monday morning, the 17th. and arrive at Wellington about 10 a.m. on Tuesday, the 18th". Sir Joseph Ward also asks members to advise him as to what accommodation they will rofiuiro en route and at Auckland.
