ROAD BOARDS.
EDEN TERRACE. The ordinary meeting of the Eden Terrace Road Board was held last evening, those present being the chairman (Mr. .T. H. Garrett) and Messrs. W. Wriglcy, W. Haslett, J. U..Browne, and R. McElwain. Additional Stopping Place: A letter was received from the general manager of tho Auckland Electric Tramways Company, Limited, consenting to make Porter's Avenue a stopping place for all car.- in future. It was resolved to put in a streetcrossing there, and also at the corner of Dominion Road. Water Consumption: The consumption of water in the district since .May 15 was reported at 672,000 gallons. Accounts: Accounts amounting to £60 lis 5d were passed for payment. ..ONE-TREE HILL. A meeting of the One-tree Hill Road Board was held last evening in the Newmarket Borough Council Chambers. Mr. E. W. Burton presiding. Messrs. C. McKinney and M. R. Creagh were also present; Deputation: A deputation of residents living on the main road adjacent to the Domain asked the Board To construct a footpath outside their residences. Tne chairman pointed out that unfortunately the Mount Roskill Board had control of that portion of the road. It was decided to write to the Mount Roskill Board, informing them that the One-tree Hill Board were agreeable to construct a similar length in the portion of the road under their control, provided ■ this footpath was made by the Mount Roskill Board. Tram Time-table: It was decided to write asking the Auckland Tramways Company for an early reply to the Board's letter in reference to a time-table for the district. License Refused: An application from Mr. Spehr for a license to establish .an offensive trade at Onehunga was refused, on the advice of the Chief Health Officer. Accounts: Accounts amounting to £151 13s 5d were passed for payment. A meeting of the Movnt St. John Domain Board was held at the conclusion of the One-tree Hill Road Board meeting ' last evening. Messrs. E. W. Burton (chairman), C. McKinney, and M. R. Creagh being present. A report was received in relation to tree-planting in the Domain, the •recommendation being to plant 35 ornamental trees, 10. tree ferns, and also a number of alders and willows. It was decided to authorise the work as per tender received.
