■ The many friends of the Rev. Fat Iter Holbrooke administrator of St. Patrick's Cathedral, 'will learn with regret, of his approaching- departure from Auckland. He has been ministering in the Cathedral parish for the last six years, and during that time, by his kindly and charitable disposition, has made for himself a host of friends. Some weeks "age he contracted a severe illness, necessitating a. stay in. a. private hospital.. Now that he is convalescent his .'..radical advisers consider it is necessary for him to spend some time in the country. Accordingly he has' accepted the pastoral charges of Cambridge and .surrounding districts, and will take up hie residence there shortly.
