, . .THE INVERIC. : : The Australian Mail Line steamer Inveric, Captain Boyd, arrived from .Sydney at 4 a.m. yesterday, arid after inspection was granted pratique and berthed at Queen-street Wharf. The steamer left Sydney for Auckland at 11.30 p.m. on the 26th ult. and, experienced ' a south-cast Kale for the first four days at sea, thence moderate winds to arrival us above. The Inveric resumed hT voyage for Apia and San Francisco yesterday afternoon. LOST THEIR CHARTERS. Two British barques have jus!, lost valuable wheat, charters from Taeomi home. They were the Manx Kinst and the Osborne, and were bound from Tal Tal and Arlloagasta renpeetively to Tacoma. The Manx King was only five hours too late. Tugs hurried out, to bring her in. but her charter had be<"ii forfeited whilst she wns in tow. She was 68 days out from To! Tab The Osbornewas several days late, and bcr owners loxfl about. -£2000 on the ves.*el*fl slow trip, as freight rate? have dropped : 9s per ton since she was chartered; She carries about 5000 tons of wheal. A LONG VOYAGE. Messrs. Nelson and Robertson, shipping agents, of Sydney, haw; received a cable from San Francisco announcing the arrival of the, barque British Yeoman at that port from Sydney. The vessel left Sydney as far back as January 12 with a cargo of 2970 tons of coal, and was therefore 130 days out. A large number of Newcastle coal ships have made protracted passages across to San Francisco recently, and several were seriously overdue, but the British Yeoman was not mentioned, although she has, perhaps, made the longest trip of. the season. OVERDUE BARQUE. The exceptionally long voyage from Delagoa Bay, South Africa, to Cape Borria being made by the Norwegian barque Marie, of 1344 tons, is still causing anxiety. The vessel sailed from the South African port on February 3, and in ordinary circumstances should have reached the Borda at the end of April. She is therefore several weeks overdue. It is thought probable that the Marie has encountered baffling winds, which have blown her out of her course THE TALUNE. The Union Company's steamer Talune left Westport for Auckland last night and should arrive on Friday next, The Talune leaves for Fiji on Wednesday next. PORT OF ONEHUNGA. ARRIVALS.
