— -«• Rki'kkrin-o to the fro/en meat trade, the annual report of the Tiinam Harbour Board states:—The total carcases of mutton and lamb shipped from the Dominion during "■ the year was 4,692,752. Though our shipments for 1906 showed a large increase over previous years, we have still further increased this year by some 48,903 carcases, and we continue to hold the third highest position, being only 330 carcases short of Wellington. Some 12,990 live sheep weio shipi ped away, largely consequent on the "drought; with the addition of part of this total, we would have secured second place. The following are the particulars of the ''- shipments at the three leading ports for the ' past four years : —Lvttelton : 1904, 1.062.359 1 cu'eases- '1905. 1,021,043; 1906. 1,307.940; , l't'o7 .1250.023; decrease for 1907, 57,917. " Wellington: 1904.906.765; 1905.734.735; i' 1906 831.903: 1907, 838,327: increase for 1907*6424.
