A SON AND HEIR. By Telegraph.— Association.-—Copyright, {.Received June 1, 9.46 p.m.) London, June 1. -The Duchess of Norfolk has given birth to a son. There will be great rejoicing,, in the ducal household and heartburnings, parhaps, in other quarters. The infant that lias made his appearance is the first son, and is accordingly heir to the estates, and will succeed to the title. The former heir was the duke's brother, Lord Edmund Talbot, who is married to a daughter of the Karl of Abingdon. The Duke, who is 61 years of age, has been married twice, his first wife, a daughter of Baron Donington, dying in 1887. The second marriage took place in 1904, to Hon. Gwendolen ConstableMaxwell.
