A unique manner of canvassing was indulged in ,by one of the candidates for the mayoralty at Hastings 011 the day of election. A motor car, used for the purpose of taking voters to the polling booth, contained the wife and children of a candidate, and on the back of the machine a placard in bold letters stood out, " Our daddy every time."
