While working in Fisher's bush, Netherton, a man flamed Middleton had his leg badly crushed, although it, is not thought that the bone is broken. • The sufferer was taken down to the Thames Hospital. Mr. Laird, second engineer on the Northern Steamship Company's Taniwha, had one of his fingers badly crushed while oiling the engines during the steamer's journey from Auckland to Pa-eroa last night. . An accident occurred 1:6. Mr. C. Nadig to-day while grubbing out briars on Mr. Handley'i farm at Netherton. Nadig struck one of his feet with a spade, with the result that the small toe was almost severed and two other toes were.badly cut. He was brought up to .Pa-eroa, and the injuries bound up, and was afterwards taken down to the Thames Hospital.
