Y.W.C.A: SALE OF WORK.

A vert successful sale of work, in aid of the Young Women's Christian Association debenture fund, was held in Mrs. J. L. Wilson's grounds, " Roseile," Lower Remuera, on Saturday afternoon, and it will go a long way towards reducing the liability incurred. The. stalls, which were nicely laid out in a secluded portion of the grounds, were very well patronised, and nearly ad the goods had been sold before the rain set in. There was a large number of visitors, > and the playing of a band at intervals greatly enhanced the enjoyment of those present. Afternoon tea "was dispensed in the house during the afternoon. Among the ladies who gave valuable assistance were Me=dames J. L., Roy, and Liston Wilson. Whitney, Williams, Hums, Troeser, C. Tilly, and Misses Hume and Tilly.
