I In the House of Commons, Mr. Lloyd George's Port of London Bill was read a second time without division. .Mr. Lloyd-George's scheme aims at constituting a new port, authority for London. The docks of London represent an invested capital of £25,000,000, and the Chancellor of the Exchequer is proceeding with their acquisition in section!;. It is hoped that ill the end the port authority will exercho practical control of the river, the clocks, and the wharves.
