'■"<% SERIOUS railway collision occurred at an early hour this morning, when the Brisbane mail train crashed into the second ; division of Dip Glen limes mail train Jit ..Jlurrundindi. i For some unexplained reason the two trains met on one set of rails. - The Glen Jnne-s train was just moving out as the X Brisbane mail train came in. The two engines camo together with a . terrific impact, one locomotive shooting on top of the other with a fearful crash. •. The Glen lime* train, which had few passengers, stifiercd .most. The first car was considerably wreefW, and all the occupants were more or lew* injured. :« Two compartments' of the first tar of the Brisbane train were stove in and several passengers were injured. Infantry bound for an liaster encampment rendered great service in extricating the injured. The night was pitch dark, and it took a considerable lime to get the injured people out of the wreckage. . / None of the passengers were killed, but the drivers and firemen had a marvellous escape. Twenty passengers were injured, two of them seriously so. One man had his right arm and both legs broken, and another both legs broken, whilst two others had a leg broken. The rest were cut and bruised to a more or less extent.
