INSTRUCTION OF TEACHERS.
[bt tkleshaph.— ASSOCIATION'.] Blenheim, Wednesday. Easter classes, organised by Mr. Strachan, inspector of schools, for the teachers of Marlborough, have been assembled at Blenheim for a week of special instruction. There is an attendance of nearly 100, and the following subjects are being dealt with: — Nature study, model and blackboard drawing, first aid and ambulance work, singing, and chemistry. An exhibition of school work is a feature of the gathering, and the leading booksellers of Wellington have sent exhibits of school books. The gathering is expected to have a farreaching influence for good on the educational work of the province. The Inspec-tor-General (Mr. Hogben) is expected to address the teachers to-morrow.
