PAYMENT TO CIVIL SERVANTS. [BY TELEGRAPH. — PRESS ASSOCIATION*.] Wellington, Friday. Soii'E members of the Civil Service who have hud five per cent, deducted from their salaries, in accordance with the statute, , a.nd lodged with the Public Trustee have now signified their intention of coming under the new superannuation scheme. By so doing thev are now able to lift the five tier cent, a'.cumulation of years, and some are collecting sums ranging from £100 upwards, To-day £6000 was paid out by the Public Trustee in accumulated interest, in Wellington alone. The amount that will have to be '-aid out over the whole Dominion is estimated at about £70.000.
