"' The annual general meeting of the 'North Shore District.Football Club will be held iff the Foresters' Hall, Devonport, this evening- * The report which will be submitted, to the meeting states that although the seniors V* failed to keep up to their reputation of the previous season, owing to a chapter of acci-'-dent& the juniors succeeded in winning two'-'"* championships, viz., second and third grades. ■ r The first grade played eight matches, won 1 V two and lost six; points. 3 for 19. - against 91 '■ The second grade played 10 matches, win- '* ning nine and drawing. the tenth; they secured 71 points against 16; this grade hag, •"'- now won the championship four times dur- ; " ing the past five years The third grade*"-"! were also successful, after an interval of 10 years; their record was nine games played, seven won. and two drawn; points, for 36. against six. An offer' has been made to lease the vacant allotment adjoining the training shed. and. the committee and trustees ask the club's approval to grant a. lease for a term of years.The committee record, with deep regret, the - death of one of its members, and at one ' time captain of the seniors, Mr. Neil C. Smith. The balance-sheet shows that the. receipts for the past season totalled £63 JSs 6d, and the expenditure £126 12s 3d. leaving a debit balance of £62 lis 9d; £60 of this amount was owing on the dressingrooms. which were erected at a cost of £78 10s. An attempt was made to reduce the debt, hut it was unsuccessful. The assets over liabilities amounted to £262 10s .sd.
