Mr. W. Kerrier, formerly of Oaniaru, writes to the Timani I'osl its follows:— " 1 have just had sent me a. copy of the Tirnaru Post of February 12, containing a report, of the inquiry held regarding "the recent 0.K.(.'.A. lire, the cause of which seems to be enshrouded in mystery, My object- in writing is to mention a 'circumstance which came under my notice some years ago. On examining the glass afterwards, a Haw was discovered which acted as a. burning glass which I'ocusscd the sun's rays on the blind, with the result stated above."
